Legal · Terms

Travel has uncertainty. These terms do not hide it.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to Aeolus, a service operated by Aeolus Labs LLC ("Aeolus Labs," "we," "us"). By using Aeolus, you agree to these Terms.

Effective and last updated August 18, 2026

1. Who may use Aeolus

You must be at least 13 and legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must review and agree to them for you. You may not use Aeolus where doing so would violate applicable law.

2. What Aeolus provides

Aeolus helps discover activities, organize trips, evaluate forecast windows, coordinate invitations, prepare packing guidance, save memories, and create shareable artifacts. The service is evolving, and features, geographic coverage, sources, limits, and availability may change.

3. Guest use and accounts

You can begin through a guest session. Some persistent or collaborative features may require sign-in. You are responsible for activity under your account, for keeping credentials secure, and for giving accurate contact information. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Weather, travel, outdoor, and safety limits

Aeolus is not an emergency-response service, weather authority, guide, insurer, or substitute for judgment.Forecasts, map data, hours, routes, closures, accessibility, prices, availability, and automatic messages can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong.

You are responsible for checking official forecasts and alerts, park or venue notices, road and trail conditions, permits, local rules, physical demands, equipment, transportation, and the needs of every participant before and during an activity.

Weather thresholds are planning guardrails, not a representation that an activity is safe. A “clear” classification does not account for every hazard. Check-ins, alerts, fallbacks, and automated plan changes depend on configuration, connectivity, third-party delivery, and current data; they are not guaranteed. In an emergency, contact local emergency services directly.

5. AI-generated and third-party information

Some content is generated or arranged with artificial intelligence and may contain errors. Other information comes from third-party weather, map, place, route, event, or communication providers. Provider names do not imply endorsement. Verify material details with authoritative sources before relying on them.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Use Aeolus lawfully and do not interfere with, probe, scrape at unreasonable volume, reverse engineer where prohibited, or bypass security or rate limits.
  • Do not upload unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or dangerous content, or content that exposes another person's sensitive information without permission.
  • Obtain permission before entering another person's contact information or sharing media, plans, stories, or reviews involving them.
  • Do not present Aeolus output as professional safety, medical, legal, or emergency advice.

7. Your content and sharing

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Aeolus Labs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, and display that content only as needed to operate, protect, improve, and provide the service and the sharing actions you request.

You control whether a memory remains private, a bounded invitation is shared, a review is public, or a story file is exported. You are responsible for the audience and destination after you share or download content. Removing public status limits future display by Aeolus but cannot recall copies already saved by others.

8. Aeolus materials

Aeolus, its design, software, branding, and original content are owned by Aeolus Labs or its licensors and protected by law. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer intellectual-property ownership.

9. Feedback

If you send ideas or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation. This does not give us ownership of unrelated content or personal information.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Aeolus at any time. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, the service, or legal compliance, including for abuse or material violation of these Terms. Contact us to request account deletion.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aeolus is provided “as is” and “as available.” Aeolus Labs disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, accurate, safe, or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aeolus Labs and its members, contractors, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of the service. Aeolus Labs' total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid Aeolus Labs for the service during the twelve months before the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Illinois law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights.

14. Changes, severability, and contact

We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice when required. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. These Terms and referenced policies are the agreement between you and Aeolus Labs about the service.
